Bio - Doug Stacey

Back From The Range…

After a six year hiatus Rancher/Businessman Doug Stacey has left the ranch and put behind him being a full time cowboy to take on a new challenge. If you ask his closest friends and family they believed he would never put back on a suit and tie. In the small town near his ranch for the most part he is referred to as Cowboy Doug. So what pulled him back into the business world?

Doug has decided to work as a fund development officer for a not for profit to raise money for much needed programs for People with disabilities. He works in Edmonton, and commutes back to the ranch each evening, but feels the travel is worth it,as the work he is committed to is so valuable.

For years he has been a very active advocate in the issues of People with disabilities and those effecting Youth at risk. He has manged and owned multi-award winning companies that have employed some very wonderful people, and he is proud of his success. His life is a mirror of this work, two of his surrogate sons and ranch hands came from programs he founded. Prior to going ranching his companies won many awards for his work with youth at risk and his work with employing People with disabilities including "The City of Edmonton's Mayors Award."
“I hope all my friends’ neighbors, and community will support me in my work, and if anyone can find some time, money or energy to donate please say hello and we would be so appreciative." It’s wonderful being able to be part of the solution, and hope I can count on everyone for your support…Doug”
